Overview
Join us on a panoramic tour through Reykjavik, passing the major landmarks and highlights. Stop at the Pearl Museum, where you will walk through history, nature, and an ice cave. Here you will also learn about Iceland's history and geology, and you can step outside to a 360° platform that offers a fantastic view of the city, mountains, Atlantic Ocean, and surrounding municipalities. At the Pearl, you will be greeted by the staff, who will guide you to the cutting-edge Planetarium that offers a wonderful show about the Aurora Borealis. Here is the perfect opportunity to enjoy this show and learn about this stunning phenomenon, when they are not seen in the skies. The Pearl Museum has also developed a method to accurately replicate an ice cave dug through a glacier. Traveling through the cave and its museum, you will learn about the glaciers' dangers, the secrets they keep, and how the disappearance of the vast bodies of ice is leading, to enormous changes, both on the island itself and around the world. After visiting the Pearl, head back to the city center, enjoy the comforts of your coach, driving through the city center, passing major landmarks and highlights, including Harpa Concert Hall, Hallgrimskirkja Church, and Hofdi House - the venue of the "end of the Cold War" 1986 summit meeting between President Reagan and General Secretary Gorbachev. After your tour, end at the pier.
